| Velvet is our very special and brave kitty. Other than her apparent disability, She really does not need any special care, other that a helping hand now and again. Velvet is about 2 years old now, found in March '07 caring for her 4 babies. The caretaker noticed that her left front paw was missing,which seemed to be a new injury. That did not stop Velvet from being a wonderful mom and all of her babies found their forever homes. Velvet needs a home and family to call her own, someplace to settle in with her new family. We have had her checked out by a vet who did not recommend any further surgery as she uses her leg just fine. It’s cute the way she climbs the scratching post, digs in the litter pan and while she walks a little funny, it makes her personality so much more desirable! In no time at all she will be rubbing up against your leg purring for your attention. When she is called she will gladly come out to say ‘hello’. She is very happy with her foster family and feline friends but is longing for her own family to love. Velvet would be a perfect companion!. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, FeLV/FIV negative, wormed and micro chipped she would make a wonderful addition to any family.
